While we don’t provide in-house training for caregivers, we ensure that all our aides have received proper training through schools or courses before joining our team. They must provide proof of their education and training, guaranteeing you receive care from experienced and qualified professionals.

The best option is to choose a licensed, local provider with experience in your area. Baylin Home Care serves Southampton, East Hampton, Huntington, including all of Suffolk and Nassau Counties. All of our Nurses live and work on Long Island

A home health aide assists with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and companionship. A private duty nurse is a licensed RN or LPN who provides skilled clinical care including medication management, wound care, vital sign monitoring, and coordination with physicians. Baylin Home Care provides both services.

Yes. Baylin Home Care provides live-in caregivers for individuals who require consistent around-the-clock support. Live-in care allows your loved one to remain safely and comfortably at home with a dedicated caregiver present at all times.

Yes. Post-hospital recovery is one of our most requested services. We can often have a caregiver or nurse in place within 24 hours of a hospital discharge to ensure a safe transition home and reduce the risk of readmission.

Yes. Baylin Home Care serves both Nassau and Suffolk Counties across Long Island, as well as the Hamptons and East End. We are physically based in Southampton which allows us to respond quickly to families across the East End.

Yes. Baylin Home Care operates as a division of My HHA Care, Inc., a New York State Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) and Medicaid-approved provider. Our licensing ensures that all care meets state standards for quality and safety.

We understand how important consistency is. If your regular caregiver is unavailable, our team works quickly to arrange a qualified replacement so there are never gaps in your care. Our phones are answered after hours, on weekends, and holidays so you can always reach someone immediately.

Yes. We offer flexible scheduling from a few hours of nursing or caregiver support per day up to full-time live-in care. We tailor our services to exactly what you need — and your needs can change over time without any contract obligations.

Private duty nursing is recommended in a variety of situations including post-surgical recovery, chronic condition management, wound care, medication administration, IV therapy, and monitoring of complex health changes. A private duty nurse is also beneficial when a physician recommends skilled oversight at home, when a family needs clinical guidance navigating a loved one’s care, or when a hospital discharge requires a higher level of monitoring than a caregiver can provide. Baylin Home Care’s licensed RN and LPN nurses are experienced in supporting clients across a wide range of medical needs right here on Long Island.

Yes. Not every situation requires full-time care or a doctor’s order. Baylin Home Care offers wellness nursing visits for individuals who would benefit from regular professional oversight — whether they are living independently, recovering at home, or have recently been discharged from a hospital or rehabilitation facility.

This is particularly valuable in the period following a hospital discharge when a family wants an extra set of professional eyes on their loved one but a formal nursing order has not been issued. Our licensed RN or LPN can visit on a scheduled basis to check vital signs, review medications, assess overall health and safety, and communicate findings to the family — providing reassurance and continuity until everyone feels confident and comfortable with how their loved one is doing at home.

These visits are also popular among families whose aging parents live on the East End year round — especially during the off-season when family members may not be nearby. A wellness visit provides professional oversight on a schedule that works for you — whether weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly.

It’s not about replacing independence. It’s about protecting it.

Yes. Our licensed nurses communicate directly with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care. This includes reporting changes in condition, following physician care plans, managing medication schedules, and keeping families informed every step of the way. Having a nurse who can bridge the gap between home and the medical team is one of the most valuable aspects of private duty nursing.

Companion care provides non-medical support that helps individuals remain safe, comfortable, and socially engaged at home. Services typically include conversation and companionship, transportation to appointments and errands, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, and assistance with daily routines. In many cases companion care can also include assistance with certain Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as grooming, dressing, and mobility support — as long as the individual meets the appropriate criteria. Baylin Home Care has been providing companion care services across the Hamptons, Suffolk County, and Nassau County since 2013.

Companion care focuses primarily on social support, safety, and daily living assistance — keeping your loved one engaged, comfortable, and never alone. A home health aide provides a higher level of personal care including hands-on assistance with bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility. Depending on your loved one’s needs and eligibility, companion care may also include certain ADL support. Our care coordinators will assess your situation and recommend the right level of care — whether that’s companion care, home health aide services, or a combination of both.
